Terry’s love of movement began when she was 14 years old in San Diego when she joined a local Polynesian dance troupe. After 6 months they began performing professionally at local luau’s, conventions, and parties for over 7 years. Through a friend, she started taking and teaching classes at former NFL wide receiver Lance Alworth’s gym in San Diego when she was 21 and, at the same time, started her career in administration with Pacific Southwest Airlines (now USAirways). |
She ended her airline career in Charlotte in 1994 after her third child was born but she continued teaching at local YMCA’s and clubs.After being joked about teaching Pilates in 2000 and, after extensive hours of training and certifications, she opened Carolina Pilates in 2004. In the same year she was selected to teach Pilates and Yoga to the Carolina Panthers. In 2005 she was asked to teach classes to the Carolina Panthers office staff and, in 2007 she was asked to be the fitness and nutrition consultant for the Carolina Panthers cheerleaders (The Topcats).

Sibylle has been involved with sports since she could walk in her hometown of Deizisau, Germany. She was involved in gymnastics, vaulting (horse acrobatics), and free style skiing (aerial and ski ballet). She moved to Fort Mill with her family in 2000 and took Pilates classes with Terry (Carolina Pilates owner) at the YMCA and was inspired to pursue her fitness career. After receiving her Pilates Mat Certification. She continued by being the first certified Zumba instructor in South Carolina and trained by the creator, Beto Perez. |
She continued by getting trained in Forza Powerstrike, Kickboxing and Yoga. Sibylle discovered Budokon and was trained by the creator, Cameron Shayne and is one of the highest ranking belts in the World. She joined Carolina Pilates in 2004 and was trained on the equipment. While teaching at all-inclusive clubs throughout the World, Sibylle fell in love with the flying trapeze and single (static) trapeze and is able to practice this while away at the clubs. Her other interests include Jiu Jiutsu which she teaches if you choose the Budokon extended program. With her extensive background in body movement, Sibylle became interested in learning more about the anatomy and attended Southeastern Institute of Neuromuscular Therapy and is a certified and licensed Massage Therapist. She works out of her home and for a local chiropractor.

Rebecca has been actively involved with fitness most of her life.
She competed in Cross Country in high school and skiied with the Clemson Water Ski Team during her collegiate years. She cycles and runs in her free time.
In 2002, she decided pursue an education in fitness in 2002 with Madd Dogg Athletic in Spinning. |
Her interest in education increased quickly and was followed by certifications from ACE, Les Mills and STOTT.
Rebecca has worked with the YMCA and local clubs since 2002.
Rebecca joined Carolina Pilates in 2005 and loves the fullness of a Pilates workout. |

Lisa’s love of Yoga and Pilates began in 1990 when she started practicing at home with tapes. When she moved to Fort Mill from Michigan in 2004, she became certified in Mat Pilates and Sport Yoga and has been practicing and teaching at local clubs since that time.
She joined Carolina Pilates in 2006 and was trained on the Pilates Equipment and has been teaching Pilates and Yoga at the studio, at homes and at corporations. |
Lisa’s focus in Yoga since early 2010 has been Ashtanga Yoga and her goal is to teach proper form of this exercise and to help people learn how they can do this on their own as a daily practice and without injury. |

Melissa has been involved in athletics since early childhood. She became a gymnast at age 3 and has been involved in the sport ever since.
She has been coaching since 1993 and currently coaches’ pre-school gymnastics.
Melissa joined Carolina Pilates in 2007 after moving to Fort Mill from Chicago. |
She teaches weight training and kettlebells and is also involved in Community and Professional Theatre throughout the Carolinas.
She enjoys the art of tap, jazz and lyrical dance in her free time. |
